2018-19 Registration Information

Registration for Oak Hill United School Corporation students is available by accessing the school website (www.ohusc.k12.in.us).  Availability of the registration will vary depending on the student’s registration status.

For new Oak Hill non-resident families only:  you are encouraged to complete your registration by July 20th to be considered for the non-resident random drawing on July 23rd.  If you miss this deadline, please still register your child; you’ll be contacted if there is a seat available after July 26th.

For Current Oak Hill students:  registration will be open July 9th - 26th.  Log in to your existing Skyward Family Access account and click “Returning Student Registration for 2018-19.”

For new students of current Oak Hill families: registration is open now.  Log in to your existing Skyward Family Access account and click the “New Student Online Enrollment” tab.

For new students to Oak Hill who live in the district and have no siblings currently enrolled:  registration is open now.  Go to the Oak Hill website, www.ohusc.k12.in.us, and click on the Student Registration box and follow the instructions at the bottom of the “Welcome to Oak Hill Registration!” page.

For parents/guardians who do not have access to a computer or need enrollment assistance, assistance and computers will be available at the office of any Oak Hill school between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. beginning Monday, July 23rd.   Any grade level of student may be registered online at the office of any Oak Hill school.

Book Rental amounts for each grade are:

*Please note, if Lifeskills students take additional classes such as Art, Keyboarding, Choir or PE, there will be an additional fee charged for those classes based on the JH/HS fee schedule.

High School Fees and 1:1 Digital Learning Initiative:

High school book fees vary based on courses selected.  Fee lists are available upon request. For School Year 2018-19 all students grade 5 through 12 will be receiving a Chromebook as part of their curriculum.  

Payment of Fees:

Payment for fees or a contracted payment arrangement is expected at the time of registration.  Payments can be made online using e-Funds, or by cash, check, debit or credit cards at the Central Administration office anytime between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.  The Central Administration office will also be open during the evening on Thursday, July 26th from 1:00 – 7:00 p.m. for those wishing to make payments in person by cash, check, debit or credit card.

Lunch and Breakfast prices are as follows:

Elementary Lunch (K – 6) =    $2.25/per day      

JH/HS Lunch (7 – 12) =      $2.50/per day

Elementary Breakfast (K - 6) = $1.65/per day

JH/HS Breakfast (7 – 12) = $1.65/per day

Free/Reduced Lunch:

Parents that qualify for free/reduced lunch assistance will be able to fill out the required form as part of the registration process. The application will also be available under the Food Service tab on Skyward Family Access beginning Monday, July 9th. Parents/guardians must complete a new application each year regardless of last year’s status.  If parents have received a direct certification letter, an assistance application will not need to be filled out on Skyward.

Special Dietary Needs:

Parents are also reminded that if their child requires a special diet for medical reasons, such as allergies, that a signed physician’s note must be on file, in order to request an alternate diet or food substitutions.  This note must be updated each school year.

Kindergarten Parents:

For parents of kindergarten students, if you did not attend roundup or did not bring your child’s birth certificate and immunization records to roundup, please attach those items to your registration or bring those items with you to the Converse Elementary office if you are registering in person.  Questions regarding Kindergarten enrollment should be directed to Mr. Nijaul Drollinger, Converse Elementary principal.


The Oak Hill Athletic Department will be selling JH/HS all sport passes and fall sports season tickets.  Tickets will be available at the High School Office or at www.ticketracker.com starting July 23rd; credit cards will be accepted for this purchase.

2018-19 New Student Registration

Oak Hill United School Corporation is now accepting new student applications for the 2018-19 school year. 

If you have a child who will be a new student at Oak Hill next year, you may begin the application process now. This includes any families whose child will attend kindergarten in August. If you know a family looking to enroll their children as new students for 2018-19 school year, feel free to forward this email.

Information is available regarding the registration process, non-resident information, and registration dates. If you need computer or internet access, you may visit any school to complete the application. Each school is open 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

If you have any questions about the registration process, please email registration@ohusc.k12.in.us. If you have specific questions related to the school, documents needed for registration, non-resident questions, etc., please contact our schools.

Our returning registration for current Oak Hill students will open July 9, 2018, and registration information will be sent to families in late June 2018. 

2018 Kindergarten Registration Information
Children who will be five (5) years old on or before August 1 are eligible to register for kindergarten at Oak Hill United School Corporation. 

If you reside in Oak Hill district, please complete the application process now. If your children attended our preschool program, nothing is needed from you at this time. If you do not reside in the Oak Hill district but would like your kindergarten child to attend Oak Hill in the fall, please fill out the application and call Converse Elementary at 765-395-3341, option 3.

We encourage you to attend Kindergarten Roundup, which will take place at Converse Elementary. It is a time for parents to learn about kindergarten and for your child to visit the school to help with the transition in August. Your child will also participate in some screenings during this time. For students whose last name begins with A-J, you will attend April 24 from 6-7:30 p.m. For students whose last name begins with K-Z, you will attend April 25 from 6-7:30 p.m.

Kellie Boucher chosen for Digital Learning Month Demo Slam

Swayzee Elementary sixth grade English teacher Kellie Boucher has been chosen for the Indiana Department of Education's Digital Learning Month's Demo Slam. Mrs. Boucher submitted a screencast of her use of a digital learning tool that she and her students use called Diigo. Of all the demo slam submissions, Mrs. Boucher was one of eight teachers in the state chosen to showcase her favorite tool.

2017-18 School Year Information

Please read the following important information for a successful beginning to the 2017-18 school year:

  1. If you still haven’t completed school registration for 2017-18, please do so as soon as possible prior to the first student day on Tuesday, August 8. We need this in order to update our records and class lists. Instructions are located at http://www.ohusc.k12.in.us. If you need technical help to complete registration, please contact us at registration@ohusc.k12.in.us or call 765-395-3341, ext. 2114.

  1. Oak Hill Open Houses for Students and Families:  Elementary open houses will be Monday, August 7 - Converse from 5-6 p.m., Sweetser from 6-7 p.m., and Swayzee from 7-8 p.m. Junior High and High School open houses will take place Tuesday, August 8 from 6-7:30 p.m.

  1. Your child’s teacher information is now available on Skyward Family Access. You may access teacher name through the Schedule tab.

  1. If you still need to pay your textbook fees, you may make payments online using eFunds by logging into your Skyward Family Access account, clicking Fee Management, then the Make Payment link. You will need to create an eFunds account the first time you use the site. If you’d like to pay by check, cash, or credit card, you may stop by the Administration Office Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Payment may also be mailed to Oak Hill Administration at PO Box 550, Converse, IN 46919.

  1. If you would like to apply for free and reduced lunch and did not complete an application as part of your registration, you will need to log into your Skyward Family Access account, click Food Service tab on the left, then the Applications blue link at  the top. You will start a new application, and our food service director will get back to you whether you were approved for benefits. If you have questions, please email our food service director at marcieke@ohusc.k12.in.us or call 765-395-3341, ext. 2115.

  1. All transportation should be accurate in Skyward at this time. If you indicated a change was needed in the registration process, we have made that change. We suggest logging into Skyward prior to the first day of school, click the Busing tab and checking for transportation accuracy.

    1. If you need more than one transportation scenario, Skyward will only indicate the main one. The transportation staff is aware of the other needs. If you want to be sure, contact Cindy at central office by calling 765-395-3341, option 6 or emailing cindyro@ohusc.k12.in.us.

    2. All kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade students will wear lanyards with their transportation listed on a card. They will wear these the first week or so in order for an adult working at the school to assist, if necessary.

  1. To find a copy of the school supply list, visit http://www.ohusc.k12.in.us, then click on the Schools tab at the top of the page to navigate to your child’s school. A link to the school supply lists are located in the left menu on the school’s website.
